The journal "Cotton Research" is ranked in the Q1 division according to SJR.
According to the latest data from the SJR (SCImago Journal Rank), the English academic journal "Journal of Cotton Research" (JCR), co-sponsored by the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences Institute of Cotton Research and the Chinese Society of Agronomy, has improved its ranking to Q1 in the Agricultural and Biological Sciences category and Q2 in the Biochemistry, Genetics, and Molecular Biology category for the year 2023.
The journal "Cotton Research" (English Edition) was founded in June 2018, with Researcher Li Fugui serving as the editor-in-chief and Researcher Wang Kunbo as the executive editor. Researchers Song Guoli, Dong Hezhong, and Liu Quanyi serve as associate editors. The editorial board consists of 60 experts from nine countries, with Academician Chen Xiaoya as the chairman and Academicians Yu Shuxun, Zhu Yuxian, Wu Kongming, Zhang Xianlong, among others, serving as vice-chairmen. This journal primarily reports on advancements in various major research areas of cotton, focusing on cotton germplasm resources and evolution, genetic improvement, cultivation and physiology, integrated pest management and biosafety, bioinformatics, molecular biology and cell biology, as well as fiber development. It aims to promote interdisciplinary research in cotton and facilitate academic exchanges in the field of cotton both domestically and internationally.
