The Institute of Cotton Research (CRI) is the only national research institute and research center specializing in cotton in China. It was founded in Beijing in August 1957, and moved to Anyang, Henan Province, in March 1958. Concentrated on basic and applied research, CRI organizes and presides over major national cotton research projects addressing significant science and technology-related issues in cotton production. The institute coordinates international cooperation and exchanges about cotton research, cultivates high-level talents to advance cotton technology, and facilitates the transfer of new technologies to farmland. In addition, CRI is responsible for the editing and publishing of the journals Cotton Science and China Cotton.
The long-term strategic development goal of CRI is to reach the international leading level in cotton applied research, reach the international advanced level in basic research, and participate in international competition in industrial development.

II Salary and financial support
Position 1 Based on the specific disciplines, CRI-CAAS will offer up to 1 million Yuan (RMB) as start-up fund and 1 million Yuan (RMB) for instrument and equipment purchase. In addition to the pay package (salary, benefits and medical care) at CAAS, CRI-CAAS will offer the allowance amounts to 100,000 Yuan (RMB) in the first year. From the second year of employment, allowance will depend on the results of annual assessment. An additional 50,000 Yuan (RMB) allowance will be paid with the evaluation result of excellent. CRI-CAAS will also provide a 100 m2 transition apartment.
Position 2 Based on the specific disciplines, CRI-CAAS will offer up to 1.5 million Yuan (RMB) as start-up fund and 0.5 million Yuan (RMB) for instrument and equipment purchase. In addition to the pay package (salary, benefits and medical care) at CAAS, CRI-CAAS will offer the allowance amounts to 80,000 Yuan (RMB) in the first year. From the second year of employment, allowance will depend on the results of annual assessment. An additional 50,000 Yuan (RMB) allowance will be paid with the evaluation result of excellent. The settling-in allowance of 30,000 Yuan (RMB) will be provided by CRI-CAAS.

Basic qualifications

The candidates must be well-versed in the latest developments in the related field, and should have solid specialty knowledge and remarkable academic achievement. In addition, the candidates should have innovative vision and strategic thought about their disciplines, and the ability to lead the academic team to international advanced level.
Position 1 Full time, under 40 years of age and with good health conditions;
Doctorate degree;
Two recommendation letters from academic experts (at least 1 from oversea expert) in related research area;
