Postdoc position opening at Biotechnology Research Institute

The Biotechnology Research Institute (BRI) of Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (CAAS) was founded in 1986, and it has developed into a leading public, non-profit institute focusing on the frontiers of both basic and applied research of agro-biotechnology in china. In order to adapt to the construction of modern institute and promote scientific innovation, the BRI-CAAS has recently initiated a project to recruit top talents from both domestic and overseas. Dr. Haiyang Wang, a leading talent and plant molecular biologist, recently joined the BRI-CAAS. Dr. Wang now calls applications for 3-4 postdoctoral fellow positions in the fields of plant molecular biology and biotechnology. Applications from both domestic and overseas will be considered and evaluated.

Qualifications:
1. A PhD degree on topics of crop genetics or related areas; adept laboratory skills in terms of molecular biology, biochemistry and cell biology.
2. The applicants should have an interest in biotechnology and crop breeding. Meanwhile, the applicants should have a strong sense of professionalism and responsibility, and be full of team spirit and organizational skills.
3. Good command of English and Chinese communication and writing skills.
4. A track record of research experience in the areas of crop molecular genetics and breeding is desirable.

Compensation:
The salary for postdoctoral fellows will be determined according to relevant regulations in Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (CAAS), with full working benefits and housing supplements. There is opportunity for applying for long-term employment at the BRI-CAAS after completion of postdoc training.
